The French Young Chemists’ Network – Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) section consists in three university centers: Aix-Marseille Université, Université de Toulon and Université Côte d’Azur. It aims to gather academic and industrial chemists below 35 years old.
The French Young Chemists’ Network – PACA section has a yearly elected president, whom is assisted by 3 vice-presidents located in the three PACA universities. The Local Young Chemists’ Network of PACA is composed of 12 members, Ph.D. students, PostDocs and permanent researchers.
The goals of the Young Chemists’ Network – PACA section are to:
- promote the SCF to the scientific community, but also to schools and general public ;
- promote the actions developed by and for chemists under 35 years old.
Each year, the French Young Chemists’ Network – PACA section takes part to the Fête de la Science, meets the newly arrived master’s students and organizes the Mediterranean Young Researchers Days (Journées Méditerranéennes des Jeunes Chercheurs — JMJC). The latter is co-organized with the Local Young Chemists’ Network of Languedoc-Roussillon each year since 2013. It aims to share and spread the most recent advances in various fields of Chemistry through PhD students and young researchers’ lectures. This event also contributes to scientific excellence of the PACA region, thanks to the participation of prestigious international speakers.
